Can schools handle the truth of parent feedback?

“If my answers frighten you, Vincent, then you should cease asking scary questions.”  This brilliant movie line comes from Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction.  Jack Nicholson shares a thematic relative in A Few Good Men.  “You Want the Truth!  You can’t handle the truth!”

When I tell people about Possip their responses reflect these movie quotes.  They love the idea and wonder aloud…

  • “ What a great idea! I bet parents find that so helpful.”
  • “Can school leaders handle getting all of that feedback?”
  • “ Do school leaders and teachers even want that feedback?”

And excitingly, the answer to all three of those questions is….

YES!!!!!

Our school partners have told us that Possip helps make parent feedback easier to get.  Parents have said it makes giving feedback easier.

And over the past few months we’ve been able to hear from hundreds of  parents who have shared feedback with their child’s school.  More importantly our school partners have made changes based on that feedback — shared praise with teachers, integrated feedback.

That’s powerful!

Do you know schools, districts, or institutions who want to hear from parents and celebrate teachers?
