Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and experienced HR Operations Manager to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of human resources, internal systems and tools, and compliance within our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing the hiring process, developing training programs, maintaining compliance, and ensuring smooth onboarding for new employees. As a proactive problem solver, you will also play a vital role in enhancing team security, managing and optimizing company systems and tools.

Responsibilities:

Hiring and Onboarding
  • Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including drafting job descriptions (JDs) and overseeing the recruitment and screening of candidates.
  • Lead intern and part-time hiring processes, ensuring a diverse and talented pool of candidates.
  • Facilitate compensation benchmarking to establish competitive and fair salary packages.
  • Coordinate and execute smooth onboarding logistics for new hires, including handling contracts, background checks, and compliance with I9s.
Training and Development
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and maintain comprehensive training curricula for employees.
  • Identify relevant external training and resources to enhance employee skill sets.
  • Oversee company-wide training materials for new hires.
  • Coordinate security training and compliance to protect company assets and data.
People Systems and Benefits Management
  • Manage and maintain compensation benchmarking and benefits programs.
  • Coordinate with payroll Company and Accountant to oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Coordinate performance evaluation systems to promote employee growth.
  • Organize team meetings, newsletters, and celebrations to foster a positive work culture.
Compliance and Legal
  • Keep abreast of employment laws, privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA), and other applicable legislation.
  • Manage employee requests and correspondence related to compliance matters.
Company Systems & Tools
  • Research, recommend, and implement the best tools and technologies to optimize company operations.
  • Manage access and permissions to various systems, including Zoom, Slack, Gusto, Google Workspace, Office, and Adobe.
  • Optimize IT costs and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, IT, Business Administration, or experience from related work
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, privacy regulations, and compliance standards – a plus.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes and onboarding best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Additional Information:

  • Nashville, TN Preferred location
  • Salary range is $60,000 – $90,000 dependent on experience and geographic location.
